The problem

What problems does Spot2Fakie solve?

You land in a city you don't know. Two hours before sundown. You burn them scrolling Google Maps for a spot that might still be skateable.

You want to drop a session on Friday. Fifteen WhatsApp messages later, three friends answer, two flake. You end up rolling alone.

You see a clip that hits. You wonder where the hell it was shot. You dig through comments, hashtags, Telegram groups. Never found.

Spot2Fakie is the answer to those problems.

How it works

Three things, done right.

Find

Open the map. Filter by spot type, distance, features, conditions. The local riders already mapped the spots for you.

Send it

Start a session at your spot and let the local riders know. The locals roll up soon.

Give back

Add the spots you find. Verify the info on the spots you skate. Win great rewards from the shops that back the scene.

Inside the app

What will you find?

Everything you need when you land somewhere new and don't know where to go.

  • Map by type.

Street, skatepark, DIY, pump track. Not a generic list of 'skate spots'.

  • Photos, info, real conditions.

A spot isn't just a pin: it's the latest photo, the flat conditions, the features on site, the hours to avoid getting kicked out.

  • Live sessions.

Start a session or schedule it for the coming days. It'll be visible to other riders in the area.

  • Community updates.

Spot busted by skate-stoppers? Construction at the DIY spot? Whoever passed by flags it.

  • Crews & friends.

Follow the riders you like most and see where they skate. Or organize sessions with your crew.

  • Points and real rewards.

The more you map and verify, the more the scene gives back. Discounts and merch from partner shops and brands.

Founder

I built this app because I needed it.

My name is Gianmattia. I got my first board at 10. Puglia, Italy — never stopped pushing.

One day at the Monopoli skatepark, Walker Ryan showed up. American pro skater, the kind you see in Thrasher Mag. We skated together that afternoon.

At the end he asked me to point him to street spots nearby. Because there's no other way to find them: no app, no map, no community. Just word of mouth.

That's when I realized the problem wasn't just mine. Even a pro, however much he travels the world, would never reach those spots without a local crew. That's when I started building Spot2Fakie.

This app is the first professional tech project I'm doing on my own. Every product decision I make as a skater first, founder second.

Manifesto

What I believe:

Spots need care. We protect street spots by letting everyone discover them and help maintain them.

The park is training. The street is the proof. Skate only in the park and you're missing half the game.

Lessons aren't enough to learn. You learn skating by falling and getting back up more determined — a coach once a week isn't enough.

Travel time is sacred. Stop spending hours scrolling spot-hunting social profiles, old forums and outdated map pins.

Uniting the communities. Whether you ride skate, BMX, rollerblade or scooter doesn't matter: now you have one go-to tool to find spots and riders.

The community isn't monetized — it's supported. Independent shops are partners of the scene, not an ad audience.
